Marie, I would be grateful if you could look at my Standgroom thread on this page, as I have not been able to trace them on the 1861 census. Many Thanks, Susan

Hi Marie, I want to order the marriage certificate for Christopher Ballard and Mary Ann Humphrys - I got the names off their daughter's birth certificate Matilda Ballard bn 1873 - but all I can find is : Christopher William Ballard and Mary Ann Humphreys (with an e) Year 1870, Qt Oct Nov Dec, District Stepney, Vol 1c, Page 1059. There doesn't seem to be a marriage certificate with the names on Matilda's birth certificate. Is it possible Humphreys is misspelt as its Humphrys on Matilda's birth certificate. I would appreciate if you could confirm my findings, just in case I've missed something. Kind regards, Victor

Marie, Thanks for looking for me. This Standgroom family seem to have completely disappeared on the 1861 census. I would be really grateful if you could keep looking for them if you get the chance. Thanks again, Susan
