Can some one help me out please. Today I have received a copy of my g grans birth certificate. Lilly Boulton born 20 jan 1890. Parents were William Boulton and Caroline Scrase (Barton Regis). I am trying to find any other children. I was told Lilly had sisters Edna and Daw but cant find them any where. I have tried LDS and Ancestry but going round in circles. Is there any way I can do an addess search as I have the address where they lived. Many thanks

Thanks. I have asked family members and they have told me she only had sisters. Is there any way I can confirm this? I was hoping I could do an address search

Have you tried www.familyrelatives(.)org its a pay per view site, but between 1866 and 1920 the records have been fully transcribed so you can search by name. So if you think you know a few of the siblings names then it could save you alot of work. Also after 1911 mothers maiden names were added so if there was any children after this date then you can use this to search with aswell.

This looks like the family in 1891:- Name: Lilly Boulton Age: 1 Estimated Birth Year: abt 1890 Relation: Daughter Father's name: William Mother's name: Carolin Gender: Female Where Born: Bristol Civil parish: St Philip and St Jacob Ecclesiastical parish: St Luke County/Island: Gloucestershire Country: England Street address: 85 Barton Hill Road Occupation: William's occupation is House Painter Condition as to marriage: Education: Employment status: View image Registration district: Barton Regis Sub registration district: St Philip ED, institution, or vessel: 35 Neighbors: View others on page Household Members: Name Age Carolin Boulton 19 Lilly Boulton 1 William Boulton 19 As it's the same street as your family lived, then I think it's a fair bet that it's the right family, and people did change jobs quite a lot. Marcelle Don't take this the wrong way, but.........relatives can be mistaken, or misinformed. And I doubt if any of them were around in 1901............. Don't rule out these people, just because there's a boy in the family............he might have died at a young age, apart from anything else. Reg

Reg, Im even more confused by the addresses now. The bc would be correct wouldn't it stating number 72

Willow Report 6 Oct 2006 10:59

also streets got renamed and re-numbered.

I have lots of relatives that moved into three or four different houses in the same street. They usually just rented rooms and would move about for either more or less rooms as required. I'd be pretty certain that this was the right family, and if you check the complete birth index on Ancestry after 1901, you'll probably find the sisters being born after 1901. Kath. x

Did you manage to get into family relatives?

Marcelle

Marcelle Report 6 Oct 2006 14:29

Not managed to find any thing else out. Totally stuck

Willow

Willow Report 6 Oct 2006 15:27

There is this one that has a mothers maiden name of Scrase Boulton Edna M Scrase Bristol.6a 212 Birth 2 1915

Willow

Willow Report 6 Oct 2006 15:34

Trying to find siblings after 1901 is difficult, until it gets to 1911 then the mothers maiden name is given in the indexes. To get all the other siblings you might just have to wait until after 2011 when the 1911 census comes out.
