i dont think it is them on freebmd an ann taylor to a pickett came up but not james horncastle but cannot view partner to cross ref. ahhh help |

i wouldnt of though it could be any as first son born 1864 i would expect them to be born around 1844 ish and marry around 1862 ish and none are close to that year what do you think? |

You don't know if James 1864 was their 1st born child, in this era they had many many children almos 1 every year some of them, my gg had 13 over a 20 yr period |

there is this james and ann on the 1891 census 1891 census Name Age Ann Pickett 48 Lambeth Annie Pickett 14 Emma Pickett 5 Grace Pickett 3 Harry Pickett 21 Southwark James Pickett 54 Lambeth John Pickett 16 Martha Pickett 8 William Pickett 18 Southwark this James is a woodcutter and the address is 24 pocock rd. looks promising james son born 1864 would of been 27 and probably married etc by this time i have all the james 1864 info just not pre him. |

this death looks like its a possibility for the James on the 1891 census i listed Name: James Pickett Estimated Birth Year: abt 1838 Year of Registration: 1899 Quarter of Registration: Jan-Feb-Mar Age at death: 61 District: St Saviour Southwark County: London, Surrey Volume: 1d Page: 37 you could always apply for the death cert and see what is on it. I have looked at all James picket(t) marriages from a-j 1861 - o-d 1865 and none marry an Ann Taylor this is Ann and her children on the 1901 census Name Age Annie Pickett 56 Widow 'Firewood cutter' own account Annie Pickett 23 Emma Pickett 15 Grace Pickett 13 Martha Pickett 18 Address 56 Webber row Civil parish: St George the Martyr Ecclesiastical parish: St Paul County/Island: London Country: England Registration district: St Saviour Southwark Sub-registration district: London Road ED, institution, or vessel: 9 Household schedule number: 144 Source Citation: Class: RG13; Piece: 369; Folio: 57; Page: 21. places of birth for those listed above just states LONDON here are some of the childrens births you could always apply for one to see if mothers maiden name is Taylor |
