Hi Sue -

Have just found your helpful post and wonder if you could help me regarding my ancestors in Fyvie cemetery. My 3 x great grandparents James Gordon and his wife Ann Smith were buried in Fyvie cemetery, in 1855 and 1857 respectively, I believe in plot 510, and I would be so grateful if you have any knowledge of the actual inscription on the grave.

Very many thanks,,

Eileen.

Just spotted this thread... I dont suppose there are any Mearns and or Bonni(y)mans? Would be between 1903 - 1920. Sorry to be so vague - I dont even know my Grandmother's maiden name (or where she was born/married) but there was family mention of Fyvie. She was orphaned young. Thankyou Olde Crone

Ann, I think Elgin and Keith would come under Morayshire as they are quite away from Fyvie.. There is an Elizabeth Castel who died 1922 aged 88 the widow of Kenneth Munro who is buried in Dingwall. His son John died 21 saept 1931 aged 79 and is buried in St Peters cemetry Aberdeen. Sue x
