Hi Genni, thanks for looking for my Ann's. However, I have seen the one you found before, and have to rule it out, as it is the wrong area. the family were definately in the Manchester area & not the Rochdale area. Thanks again for you very valuable help though. Suzy.

Hi Genni Please could you have a look for Joseph and Sarah MARTINDALE on the 1841 census please, he was born 1766 Aislaby York. and she was born also in Yorks. He died in 1850 Old Malton York, she died in 1842 in Old Malton York. So I assume they will be in Old malton. Best wishes, Sue

DEBORAH I think I found your problem. After checking for elizabeth on 1901 i found her birth details I checked 1881 and found that it was spelt 'prongers' i checked the image and it's spelt correctly there, but it turns out James was not her natural father (just her step father) she and her siblings are listed as hes daughter in laws, which is usually the case in them days, in 1891 it seems she is using her step fathers sirname (not surprising since she was only 3 in 1881 when) 1901 Rochester, St Margaret, Kent *head JOHN HALLETT 1877 Chelsea, *wife ELIZABETH 1878, Wandsworth *son WILLIAM 1900 Clapham 1881 29 alfred place, lambeth *head JAMES LEVENS 1844 Brixton (horse keeper) *wife ANN LEVENS 1841 Westminster (recorded as widowed and re-married) *Daur in law ANN PRONGER 1866 Westminster *daur in law ELIZABETH PRONGER 1878 Wandsworth *daur in law GRACE PRONGER 1864 Westminster *daur in law MARY ANN 1860 Westminster *son in law THOMAS 1870 Wandsworth 1891 clapham *head JAMES LEVENS 1844 Brixton *wife ANN LEVENS 1841 Westminster *wifes son THOMAS PRONGER 1870 Wandsworth *Daur ELIZABETH LEVENS 1878 Wandsworth I hope this helps, i'll have a look and see if i can find her mothers and step fathers marriage and maybe i'll be able to find her natural father in earlier census using her siblings names. if you'd like the images just send me your email address Genni

Hi Genni, Thanks very much for your kind offer. Just the 1841/51 census I need as I've got a bit of a long shot here but I'm looking for the following:- James Mills poss born in Denham Suffolk circa 1761 (I'm hoping longevity was around back then!) and his wife Latitia/Laetitia/Letitia Mills (nee Botwright/Botewright) poss born Kelsale Suffolk circa 1767. North Suffolk and Norwich are the places where they have cropped up before, don't have evidence of them travelling any further afield. Thanks everso. All the best Donna
