Hi Maid Marrion, thank you for your generous offer. I am looking for a Robert Carruthers on the 1851 census born around 1835 in either Maclesfield of possibly Hulme Manchester. On the 1871 his name was badly transcribed as carrashero- he was a shop owner/tabbaconist. On the 1881 he was a fancy goods man- married to Elizabeth with a tribe of children, the first being born in 1855. On the 1891 he was a book keeper. I would hope in 1851 he is still living at home with his parents but he seems to have gone into hiding, can you help. Kind Regards Cheryl
