hi please could someone try to find a Mary ann Hobbs b(.see below) Bedford hopefully with dad David Hobbs.(occ;carter)...... Theres some confusion with date of birth as when she married in march 1867 she was 25=(1842c) but on 1881 census at 11 kipping lane,Thornton,yks shes listed widowed with her children it says aged 45=(1836c) any help greatfully accepted,thanks cherie.xx

What is her husband called/married name and actual birthplace listed on the other census' please? I don't get any hits with Bedford as a birthplace I'm afraid? Thanks

only two david hobbs in 1851 bedford. one b1841 other b1812 but no mary ann in house,

yep thats her on the 1881 census at 11 kipping lane,Thornton yks. know on 1861-she was with Henry and children. she definately married in 1867(30th March)at parish church bradford to Henry as i got the cert this am hense i know her dads name(david) but that all i know of her im afraid. why do they like to change the place of birth every census grrr stupid rellies,lol. mine are most def pains!!!!

So she was Henry's second wife then, judging by the ages of all the children. Are you certain she was called Hobbs previously, and that was her maiden name, not married twice herself?

thia is a nightmare!! the cert says Batchelor and spinster..shes 25 him 27 hes a miner she's a weaver.he has no dads details his mum is Susannah binns b.1807c thorntonthat i do know. her dad is listed as David Hobbs(carter) says they were resident in Thornton at time of marriage..so dont know?? got my head mashed has this now and probably some of you too lol ahhh the marriage is in 1857 its a bad copy but after referring to my notesits def 1857 so the first marriage for both.

in 1891 her dob is 1835............perhaps she lied on ..........all the census details for year of birth seem pretty consistant...
