hello ken marriage certs only give you ther age and she was 25 after looking again sarah

hi sarah, just read your thread it dosnt get any easier does it, i looked at the dates you mentioned, you say she was 25 when she got married,and you say she was born around 1870. if you think about the trouble we had with james carr, and work it out she could have been born 1869,if she was married later in the year and her birthday was earlier in the year! this could have made her yr of birth 69 rather than 70. maybe why you carnt find it! i know its only a year but in my experience it does count. happy hunting tracey

As the family was living in Northowram in 1871 which comes under Halifax RD, and Ann was 1 year old then, which means she would have been born between 2nd quarter 1869 and 1st quarter 1870, this is likely to be her birth ref: Collinson Ann Halifax.9a 504 Birth Q2 1869 You can use the ref to order the cert from the GRO online for £7. Go to http://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/certificates/default.asp to order. Liz
