Find Ancestors

I'm trying to find Susannah Walker (nee Wilson) b 1836, Manchester. Her husband shows up on the 1891 census but no sign of her. Could you please help at all? Thanks in advance.

Yes she's on the 1871 Lancashire, 1881 Guisbrough, and 1901 Stanghow Sorry I've just made a mistake the way I've put her name it's Susannah Wilson nee Walker ...so sorry! Husband John is on the 1891 census living with daughter Annie both married.

Please post the 1901 info, I'll be darned if I can find it

Susannah Wilson is on the 1901 census for Stanghow. PRO ref is RG/13/4567. Address is Seaton Hill House, Stanghow. Looks like the Enumurator has put her birthplace as Moorsholm instead of Manchester.

Yes that's her but the place of birth is wrong. She was definitely born in Manchester. Can't find her anywhere in 1891.

Could she have been in hospital as one of the children in 1901 was born 1891 Just a thought June x

The child born in 1891 was her granddaughter though, and the child's mother is on the 1891 census.

Sorry , Is Jessie her child (Susannah) as cant find her in 1891 but found a Jessie Scarth living with Miriam Peacock as her niece ? Same age and birth place June x

Jessie is either Susannah's daughter or great niece as there is dispute on two different censuses. The 1881 states Jessie Wilson as Susannah's youngest daughter, but on the 1891 census it states that Jessie Scarth is Miriam's niece! (which would make Susannah her great aunt) I have sent for Jessie's birth certificate to find out who her parents are. Susannah's husband John. and one of his daughters are living at Skelton in 1891 but no sign of Susannah. Thought she might have died but then she showed up on the 1901 census.

I Have looked but cannot find her. found them living with Scarth family in 1861. Have you got all Susannahs children on 1891 will have another look June x

The only child I've got on the 1891 of Susannah's is Miriam with husband Mark and Miriam W as a baby....and Jessie. Thanks for looking but seems as though Susannah in 1891 is proving to be a mystery!
