Linda in the Midlands

Linda in the Midlands Report 7 Mar 2006 01:39

going along the killed in WW2 angle, I did find Name: HENDERSON, JAMES Initials: J Nationality: United Kingdom Rank: Chief Engineer Officer Regiment: Merchant Navy Unit Text: S.S. Cheldale (Newcastle-on-Tyne) Age: 52 Date of Death: 17/02/1940 Additional information: Son of John William and Margaret Henderson; husband of Florence Henderson, of Blyth, Northumberland. Casualty Type: Commonwealth War Dead Grave/Memorial Reference: Panel 27. Memorial: TOWER HILL MEMORIAL just a thought

Jennifer

Jennifer Report 7 Mar 2006 20:09

Just read your thred Linda. Would it be possible for James and Florence to have been married by ships captain? as there is no records of their marrage. And if Florence was still his wife on the death details, could this be in name only (ie next of kin) because if this is the same James Henderson sarah is looking for, Florence remarried in 1924. James must not of remarried after Florence to still have her on his records. Is there is anyone who could help sarah find this out, it would clear James and Florence's history problem. Jennifer.

Jess Bow Bag Report 7 Mar 2006 20:27

DD think tracy has changed he name to sarah , pointless to delete the other threads . if info cant be found, it cant be found, regardless of how many time you ask or who you call yourself. if you are not the same person and cannot share mutual ancestors then its all a bit sad.

Unknown Report 7 Mar 2006 20:32

Jess, :-))) If they are the same person, then using two different memberships. Names would change ! They have both answered on this thread. Sarah ... 4237861 Tracy ... 3769713 I have sent Sarah a PM asking for the FULL details of how she got back to James or Florence ... I can't work with partial facts !! Elaine ;-)

Haligonian Report 7 Mar 2006 20:39

Excuse me Jess, I am called TRACEY KENT i never never made my self to appear as anybody but me,except before i got married i had a diff surname. Why on earth would i want to change my name to make me appear as somebody else. i do my own tree and ask for help in my own name when i am stuck. YES unfortunatly i am related to sarah she is my so called sister, that i ahve not seen nor heard or spoken to since chrismas. UNFORTUNATLY SHE HAD ACCESS TO MY TREE VIA THIS SITE AND MUST BE CARRYING ON FROM WHERE I AM-I am disgusted that you would think a person would change there name for a few little details,I AM NOT that sad THANKYOU.

Jess Bow Bag Report 7 Mar 2006 20:43

Ok , Ok calm down. as you are very well aware lots of people have put lots of effort into helping you, and suddenly someone pops up and asks for the very same info the following evening, surely you can see, especially as your query was not resolved how a misunderstanding has occured. Much as you are upset that sarah has access to your tree ( you gave it after all is said and done) i am sure that if info is found on this thread that you dont have you'll happily take it onboard. Might be an idea not to even read each other threads if you are not one and the same then i am sorry i implied that you were jess

Unknown Report 7 Mar 2006 20:54

Tracy, Please don't bring your personal grievances onto the boards. If you have a problem, keep it to yourself please. We are here to do our family tree's and to help and advice others when we can. This thread is NOT the place to air your grievance. Jess has only put down in writing what we are all thinking.... me included. When two people start asking for the same lookups, then we try and put them in touch with each other ... obviously you and Sarah are sisters .... so we help one, we help the other at the same time. If you were helped by the kind people on these boards, then the least you should do is leave the information on the boards, for those who helped you to be able to referr back to that same information. I suggest that the pair of you take time out and come back to do your family tree when you can both agree to do your family tree together ... after all it is a *FAMILY* tree. Elaine ;-(

Haligonian Report 7 Mar 2006 20:55

THANKYOU JESS, and ACCEPTED, but i have to say just for the record why would you think i would post again when the first time i asked for help nobody could find anything. i really am stuck but would not post again espesially in a bogus name, i wouldnt want to spoil my chances of help in the future from the kind people on this site OR ALSO------ NICE ONE JENNIFER I DIDNT THINK OF THEM BEING MARRIED BY A SHIP CAPTAIN.

Jess Bow Bag

Jess Bow Bag Report 7 Mar 2006 21:10
