1871 helps with the parents place of births Mary A Collins abt abt 1844 Berwick-Upon-Tweed Wife Durham Peter Collins abt abt 1869 Benfieldside, Durham, England Son Durham Phillip Collins abt abt 1870 Benfieldside, Durham, England Son Durham Thomas Collins abt abt 1841 Ireland Head Durham Margaret Tracy abt abt 1849 Tyrone, Ireland Lodger Tyrone is probably where Thomas comes from

Because they have a lodger who comes from there, but it may be a coinscidence, Now your problems do start, the irish records were burnt. AAhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh so most of us can't find our Irish families, you could be lucky though, also try www.familysearch(.)org remove the brackets

Good thing is they married in England so you can pick up their Fathers names on their marriage certificate:) I think maybe Mary was in Durham in 1861, there are a few, so maybe not, if you send for the MC get back to me with her fathers name and occupation and I'll see if it matches any of them in 1861.

Oh Hi Mo Sorry I was away for something to eat. Marriage Thomas Collins and Annie Erly married St. Mary's Church Blackhill Lanchester County Durham on 6/11/1915. His fathers marriage was Mary A Duffy to Thomas Collins in 1866 Ref 10a page 486. Not sure which one you were asking for Mo??? Betty

Hi Betty Just been trying to find out why I could'nt find them There are no records for a St Mary's Church ...RC Church on the DRO database site Blackhill St. Aidan C of E Blackhill Park Road Methodist Church Blackhill United Methodist Circuit Blackhill United Methodist Free Church Blackhill, Benfieldside, St. Andrew Presbyterian, later United Reform Church and Blackhill Our Blessed Lady Immaculate Roman Catholic Church making me wonder if the church in question has not submitted ant records to DRO... Hi Mo, I know St Mary's is an RC church Blackhill. This is Thomas the younger, I don't know if he or his brothers and sister were christened in this church though. I just have his birth ref of 10a page 354 in Lanchester. Betty
