Coal Maker and they're also in Spitalfields at 10 Shepperd Street. 2 Michael/Michaels families with links to the Levy family 9yrs before Kate and Isaac married AND in Spitalfields where on one census 'Kate' claims to have been born??? Hmm thats interesting, I'll have a look at those. Thanks. Unfortunately Levy is a very common name and Isaac Levy is like John Smith. I have looked at the Rufus Isaacs family (the rumour) but as yet have found nothing. The only possible link I came up with is Isaacs mother was Mary Davis. Rufus Isaacs mother was Sarah Davis. Hope that makes sense. Not really a link for Kate but rumours have a habit of changing throught he generations.

Wonder if these are linked to the Rufus Isaacs family somehow? Interesting that they have a Kate the right age and a couple of children with similar names to Kate's children and a Davis with them! thanx for your help, thats a good lead, especially as there is a Davis as a servant. Could she be related to Isaac Levys mother. That gives me something more to look for.

Note they havea dau named Kate, and I wondered if she could be 1st cousin, or similar, to your Kate?? Merry

Looked up Lou's info for Kate but Kate Isaacs was still living with her widowed mother in 1871, so its not that one. Will look up the other info tomorrow, when I have a clear head!!
