To fill readers in, the majority of the following records found by Maureen and sent by PM.
- Dorothy Fivash m Aaron G Davey in 1934
Possible children were born in 1936 and and (possibly) 1947 - no obvious UK death indicies found meaning they are either still living, died after 2006 or have emigrated.
The 1936 child has the initials C G F and the younger R F S. The second one married in 1970
He is listed on www.livingrelativesearch.co.uk in Bristol, but not on 192.com We are not entirely confident that the 1947 son is Dorothy and Aaron's child - birth certificates should be purchased to confirm,
Dorothy's death
Name: Dorothy Davey Birth Date: 24 Aug 1908 Date of Registration: Apr 1997 Age at Death: 88 Registration district: South Gloucester Register Number: B5 District and Subdistrict: 3041B Entry number: 163
Probably Aaron's
Aaron G(eorge) Davey Birth Date: abt 1908 Date of Registration: Oct-Nov-Dec 1962 Age at Death: 54 Registration district: Thornbury Inferred County: Gloucestershire Volume: 7b Page: 606
As Dorothy's death was in 1997, it is likely that one of her sons registered her death, and it may be possible to trace him from the details given on that.
Laura needs to purchase the DC from http://www.gro.gov.uk using the details for Dorothy Davey as above.
All along Laura has been saying that she was looking for someone whose name sounds like S/Zrederick. Maureen and I think it more likely to be Frederick - both the sons have F as their third Christian name.

Laura - I'm avoiding your question, and going back to Violet's so you may already have most of this info:

There's lots of interesting collections at: https://www.familysearch.org/search/collection/list#page=1®ion=UNITED_KINGDOM_IRELAND The one we want is: England, Bristol Parish Registers, 1538-1900
name: Oliver Charles Fivash event: Christening event date: 20 Dec 1870 event place: Olveston, St Mary, Gloucestershire, England father: Charles Fivash mother: Ann Fivash film number: 4277414 digital folder number: 4277414 image number: 00124 Source Citation "England, Bristol Parish Registers, 1538-1900," index, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/XT79-Y5J : accessed 8 July 2012), Oliver Charles Fivash, 1870.
Unfortunately there's no associated image I've seen Durham and Lancs OPRs where they've mentioned the birth was posthumous (to the father). I don't know if they'ld say the same for baptisms, but I think the baptism probably was posthumous (to the father). I don't see a death on FreeBMD for Chas, but Ann's a widow by 2/4/1871 (per Debi's census). My guess is he died in IL - maybe that's why they're all back in the UK - for the family support. It would be interesting to see if there were any family as neighbours.
This looks like a poss marr for Ann:
name: Charles Fivash event: Marriage event date: 05 Sep 1853 event place: Bristol, St James, Gloucestershire, England gender: Female age: christening date: marriage date: marital status: Single burial date: father: William Fivash mother: spouse: Ann Britton spouse's marital status: Single spouse's father: John Britton spouse's mother: film number: 4197382 digital folder number: 4197382 image number: 00121 Source Citation "England, Bristol Parish Registers, 1538-1900," index, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/XTS6-HLK : accessed 8 July 2012), Charles Fivash, 1853.
It would be interesting to find Ann Britton 1851 to see how compatible she was with Ann Fivash 1871. It would be interesting to find Charles 1851 if one's going to trace him back.
A look up on Bristol PR for Oliver Fivash turns up: his marr to Annie Sarah Tavinor d/o Abraham m 10 Jul 1895 @ Littleton-on-Severn bp 25 Aug 1895 of Frederick John Fivash bp 25 Jun 1899 of Alfred Charles Fivash marr 07 Apr 1917 Frederick John Fivash & Blanche Cox d/o Charles
A search for Charles Fivash will get baptisms & marrs of some of Olly's sibs

To Laura - as you are still a relative novice with computers and internet searching, if you click on any of the odd sentences/web addresses underlined, it will open a new web page to show a new site and possible records
it is perfectly safe to do so.

To my mind, Zedrick sounds like a west country way of saying Cedric - or had you all decided that already.
