Can anyone help me I am looking for any details on George Coulson born aprox 1902. As I am new to trying to tace my ancestors any advise (on where to find info) would be really appreciated. June Manchester nudge |

is this the birth registration - child born in 1901, newcastle Name: COULSON, George Record Type: Births Quarter: March Year: 1901 District: Newcastle upon Tyne County: Northumberland Volume: 10b Page: 70 If so, looking on 1901 census will give you his parents |

message from june.. not sure if same family this George had 3 brothers named Joseph, Harold and Jack, also 4 sisters named Beatty, Francis, Alice and Polly. Mothers name Elizabeth. Fathers name Thomas? ----------------------------------------------- June, the more you can tell us at the outset the better! Reply on here please ( you sent me a message) helps more if we can all see the info really. its a learning curve...dont be put off. |

Sorry June,You dont need to be able to view others on the page,it is only a list of other birth registered on that day/at that time. unless he was a twin , there will not be anymore of yours on that page |

As far as I know all children born in Newcastle Elizabeth born in Scotland |

June. do you know anything more about Elizabeth and Thomas.Her maiden name perhaps? Jess What we are tying to do is find births in the right names , about the right times in the right places and then try and marry them up with a Thomas and Elizabeth on the 1901 census, as a group |

There is a Coulson family on the 1901 census in Newcastle with mother Elizabeth but father Richard. Children:- Beatrice Mary (Polly could be nickname for Mary) Alice Joseph Frances George (aged 2) William I've saved the image in case this might be the family. Kath. x just noticed you said Elizabeth born Scotland. This one says born Gateshead. |

can't see an Elizabeth Coulson, wife, born in Scotland, living in Newcastle, or anywhere else for that matter. |

Kath this looks very close I think George may have been born around 1898/9 grand/great grandad may have been named Stobart. Only scant info on Elizabeth may not br Scottish |

Stobart was christian name George married May Etchels They lived in Manchester Had 3 children George Stobart born 1924 Doreen born aprox 1930 Brenda born aprox 1940 |
