To all, Calmed down and read rest of replies seems possible that perhaps at some point there might have been 2 daughters that may have become confused! (often names were repeated wern't they) Great idea to get the last daughters birth cert though just too confirm thomas being alive or not. Is Noon ok for a drink now?

Rosemary & all Please have a drink, I just wish I could buy you one!!! Yes will have to get that cert. I think the best possibility initially is that a Matilda died and then Sarah was given Matilda as a second name to remember her. Atkin was a second name it was Arthur Atkin Kent, Lewis William Atkin Kent. Matilda (Eliza?) Atkin Kent it just shouldn't have been Thomas Atkins so it must have been a Es mistake, but will forgive him 'cos he got the rest right.

Rosemary, That's Brilliant, Ann who? (only joking !!! at the moment it doesn't matter) My Husband just walked in thinks I'm a raving loony, But then we have to go for a hospital appointment for him and he's more concerned with that, he is making tea though!

Lol !!! Births Dec 1860 KENT Matilda Emily Atkin Bethnal Green 1c 260 Must have died between March 1861 and before Sarah's birth date . Not on FreeBMD .. so 1837online should have her under deaths. She MUST have died and then Sarah was born and as you say ... given her name in memory ! Dancer x

One possibility ... amongst quite a few ... THOMAS KENT Male Family Event(s): Birth: Christening: Death: Burial: Marriages: Spouse: ANN GADSBY Family Marriage: 04 APR 1836 Saint Alkmund, Derby, Derby, England Messages: Extracted marriage record for locality listed in the record. The source records are usually arranged chronologically by the marriage date

Linda, Have you looked through the '1837 Saved Pages' threads ? ... someone may have Kent (K) or Wilson (W) for the years you need to search. I will find both appropriate threads for you and nudge them to the top of the board. You can then message direct to anyone who MAY be able to help you search. Dancer x
