Star Report 14 Jul 2005 15:54

Hello John, thank you so much for going back in this heat. It certainly looks like my John Buckland just a little earlier than i anticipated. In the 1841+1851 census there is an Ellen which fits in with the one born in 1830 but not sure where the other one fits in. In the 1841 William Buckland is married to a Joannah and in 1851 it says his wife(who is widowed by then) name is Hannah. But the childrens ages fits together so i assume they are the same family. Will have to look at all my research again. Thanks again Star unfortunately i dont live in any of the areas you asked for.

Selina Looked at 1841 today, there is no index but Millenhall is a small place with about 20 or so pages. I could find no NEWS. Bear in mind it is difficult to read but I am 90% certain they were not there.

Jenny, Forgot to say, all that I sent to everybody is what was written, no more, no less. Some vicars wrote more tahn others. I was looking at one the other day where the vicar even wrote the birth date and the time of the birth.... and sometimes a description of some of the people, if only all had been like that

Michael it is quite possible that she was born in a village nearby, say in a 5 mile radius. One of my Gggrandmothers gives 3 places of birth on census

To Jenny Dinton is not all that large. Jess was not all that common, in fact these seemed to be the only families. Obv. time was short to look further.

Hello John, sorry you had to suffer in the heat. It was no cooler in my garden! Many thanks for looking for JOHN ORAMs parents. It certainly seems Ann Watts could be the answer. the Watts name does appear later on in my research. Silly question now , but here goes. I know it was 1731 did they have a marriage licence then or just recorded in parish registers. sorry I cant help out with the areas you are looking for I'm in Cheshire. best wishes Brenda x

Hello John, Thankyou so much for the lookup on the Jesse family of Dinton. I think your right as Elizabeth had a son called Leonard and the name samuel is also handed down in the following generations. Can you tell me is the name common in Dinton or even Wiltshire? Did it say any occupations for both families? I think there probably is a connection between Leonard & Martha Jesse and Samuel & joyce Jesse as they are in the same timeframe and location. What do you think, how big is Dinton? Sorry too many questions. Thanks once again John I do appreciate your time & help. I live in Bexley ,Kent so can't help with your areas but if you are looking for any over my way I will do my best. Best wishes Jenny
