Your ONLY option now is to search 1837online I'm afraid. You should search under Mary Sargeantson between March 1901 and 1903 ... and any you find should be checked again the name Robinson, see if you find any matches. £5 gives you more than 55 units at present ... and you will get enough units to cover MORE than a 13 year period ... so you should have plenty left over for future use. Dancer x What exactly does the 1903 Marriage Cert say for her name please ?

OK, so the marriage cert does NOT say: Mary Ann Robinson ... FORMERLY Sargeantson ..then ?? Cos IF Mary A Robinson HAD been married before it would say FORMERLY ....*** The Mary who's cert you have had NOT been married before. Dancer x

Just a small point - on a marriage certificate, it wouldn't necessarily say 'formerly' to indicate a previous marriage. I have several 'second' marriages and none of them say formerly. The best indication on a marriage cert, for a previous marriage, are the words widow/widower etc, and for females a different surname to her father. However, on birth certs, it does normally state formerly, to indicate a previous marriage. Debbie

I'm back ! I'll check the two years/qtrs that Fiona found against the name Robinson and see if any matches ... lets try and put this one to bed !! Dancer x

Fiona !! That Dec 1904 marriage you found for Mary A, Middlesbro .... was for Sargeant ... not Sargeantson ! Oh well ..... back to the drawing board ! Naturally Red - you will have to sort this one out yourself using 1837online, as I explained before. Search under Sargeantson from 1901 - 1908 for all Mary A's and each time you find one, cross match with Robinson for same year/qtr ... and just keep going till you find a match ... hopefully you'll find one before you get to 1908 and the Coultard marriage ! It hasn't helped with using different spellings of the surname and then getting dates wrong with typing errors. When asking others for help, its always best to double check information given and spellings etc before pressing the 'send' button. Dancer x
