Excellent! And we didn't think of this book earlier, why exactly????? SO...we're looking for a child approx 4 months old.....back in a bit!

Oh Lou, you are going to kill me I didn't find this in the book it is from my Grandads grave he was buried with his in-laws I have just remembered. What it is I have all the interesting dates on one sheet of paper and graves on another. I am babbling now and I must admit I need to sort out my papers tomorrow. Zoe

from 1837 online James Hawkins - COOKHAM - 2c 367 Dec q 1870 James Hawkins - ISLINGTON - 1b 344 Mar q 1871 There was one other James in the March q 1871 but he was James Henry J. - BARNSTAPLE, assume he's not yours Hope this help Sam

You're welcome Zoe He could well have been registered in the new year as he was born in the middle of December, I actually thought the Islington one was more likely because you said your lot are mostly Londoners. Cookham is in Berkshire Sam

Hi all, Been speaking to may Nan today and she says that James went to sea in 1884 after both his mother (Unknown) and father (Henry Andrew Hawkins) died. His father was an engine driver and he died in a train crash, apparently his mother died soon after of a broken heart, ah how sad ! Zoe :)

Hi All, Just been having a rifle through all my old thread and this one came up. I still can't find find my James born in 1871. I have fund that he lived or came from Stood Kent from my Nan. Has anyone any ideas. Thanks Zoe :)
