Hi Raymond, On the 1861 census for London I am looking for any of the following HOUGHTON family. They should be in the London City area. They moved around an awful lot but never very far. For 1861 they should be; Henry HOUGHTON, 43, carpenter/box maker, born Bethnal Green Ann HOUGHTON, 37, born Bishopsgate Ann HOUGHTON, 16, Louisa HOUGHTON, 14, Elizabeth HOUGHTON, 12 Sarah HOUGHTON, 10/11 Henry HOUGHTON, 8/9 William HOUGHTON , 3 Amelia HOUGHTON, 1 Most children born Cripplegate or City of London. On 1851 census family in Monkwell Street and in 1871 Phillips Court.(Both addresses checked for 1861 and not found there) When a further child Matilda was born in October 1861 Henry was said to be a Box maker and the family were living at 15, Princes Street, Spitalfields. I believe I have had this address checked too and they were not there at the time of the census. Could you let me know who was living at 15, Princes Street, Spitalfields in 1861 as there may be a family connection? Many thanks for looking. Rose
