Having seen numerous threads about missing people and ancestors turning up as Lodgers/Boarders/Servants or Visitors, it's been suggested that it would be a good idea to have a thread where we can all add our Census Strays just in case they turn out to be people someone else is looking for. PLEASE DO NOT ADD REQUESTS FOR LOOK UPS. Lou (now known as Lancashire Lou!) xx

Most family history societies collect names of strays too! It would be a good idea to let them know too. I think most counties on GENUKI list names of relevant societies. Jan
