Hi Ian The On Hold is temporary as I just got to many to quickly - I am catching up now Sadly there is no sign of your Mary Ann on 1841 (or 1851 as you suspected) This does not mean she wasn't there - Fakenham 1841 is at the very least 30% illegible Sorry Teresa

Hi Teresa, I don't know whether the "ON HOLD" is current or not but would very much appreciate a look up for my gg grandmother MARY ANN BARRASS born in Fakenham in 1832 on the 1841 Census (for Fakenham). She married in Hull in 1854 so I doubt she would have been there in 1851. Thanks in advance, Ian

Hi Teresa, Yes that was my Robert in Diss, He must have moved into London shortly after because his son was born in the East End. Thanks anyway for trying to look up the others. Could you look up a Mary Ann Woods born 1793 in Winfarthing on the 1841 Census (she should be in Winfarthing) Many thanks for your time and effort Martyn

Hi Teresa The Robert and Mary that you found was her son and his wife. I have a feeling she may be living in the Walsingham area with one of her married daughters but unfortunately i dont have a surname for them. Thanks for your help best wishes Russell

Hi Teresa Would you be able to look in 1851 for Mary GREENACRE born about 1777. I have been unable to track her down on any census. She died in 1866 and was buried at Dereham where she had married and raised her children but she doesn't appear to have been there in 1841-61 so i hoped the 1851 index might help me track her down so i can find her in 1841 and 61. Many thanks Russell

Teresa Thank you for trying. Back to the drawing board! Sandra

Gordon Report 13 Jan 2005 14:01

Thanks again Teresa: Yes the '41 is always a problem legibility-wise I understand. It's not vital, as it's a 'twig' rather than a 'branch' on my wife's family tree - thank you anyway. Kindest regards Gordon

Hello Annie First up - Southery is absolutely full of Oslers lol and more than a few are called william. On the 1861 (the print is quite bad very blurry) I can onlt see one that is of the correct age - he is age 13 born in Southery Parents are George age 39 a Carpenter born Feltwell Martha age 38 born Southery then there is william Charles age 11 born Southery and Robert age 8 and Martha age 2 all children born Southery. I can give you the image if you let me know your email My 1851 is only a transcribed census and I am afraid I cannot find that family on it - this I find suspicious as the kids were all born there so it has to be very badly transcribed I would say. Of course with so many Oslers there is no guarantee that it is the right one you would need to prove that by means of say a marriage cert Sorry probably not been much help Teresa

Hello Teresa, Could I ask for Mary Ann Farrow, born about 1828 in either Thurton or Ashby. (1861) Thank you, Sandra

Hi Gordon I assume you meant that these Greens would be in Bressingham and Roydon too. Nothing that I can see in Bressingham but much is illegible. In Roydon there is a Johnathan age 60 something married to sarah age 68 he is an AG lab but the surname is not to clear - I am doubtful tho I am more inclined to think the initial letter might be a C. I am afraid I can see no Greens at all in those areas among the legible pages. Back again I have just been looking at Winfarthing for Martyn - its not that far from Bressingham and Roydon anyway there is a Christopher Green age 59 living there he is with Mary Green age 58 Elisha age 20 and Eli age 18 - next door is Levi Green age 25 and family and next door to him Timothy Green age 33 and family Any help do you think?? Teresa
