First of all, can I say a HUGE thanks to a few people...Sandra, Harry, Lisette, Ilene and all the people who've looked things up and given me advice. After 34 years of trying to pluck up the courage to search for my birth mother, after just 2 WEEKS on this site (admittedly with oodles of help!), I've found her. What to do with the address now I have it is a whole different ball game! Anyway, my swift success has left me with a few 1837 credits left and it'd be a shame to waste them. Can't promise to be able to help everyone but would like to return the help favour so let me know if you need any assistance. 1st come 1st served and thanks again xxxx BIRTH MOTHER UPDATE: I've finally plucked up the courage to write to her, she should have got the letter this morning!!!!!!!

Dear Alyson, well done on the searching and I hope all works out well for you. If you could look for a birth for me I would be most grateful. Maurice Cowler b 1921 probably in London. He was 19 when he married in 1940 (aug) He has 3 surnames on his marraige cert Cowler, lemaire & Petry. I suspect that he was born Cowler, his fathers name was Lemaire and his stepfather was Petry. Thanks ever so much, Karen

well done Alyson, dont go ignoring that address for too long will you. get yourself prepared and go for it. my best wishes to you with that. if poss could you look up Sarah Ann Johnson born Bebington Cheshire. Should be an 8a number. as she was 27 on the 1891 she could only have been born between april 1863 and april 1864. my grandma was born bebington but the district was down as Eastham. Also Storeton is a possibility but thinking about it it should just say Wirral. hope that all makes sense. love brenda x
