Hi Mary I am sorry you have found nothing On the 1871 Ancestry Census his name had been mis transcribed as FRUMAN which caused a lot of initial problems finding him-the two EEs had been misread from the original image to read as an U He was not with the family on the 1881 1891 census where they are spelt corectly as Freeman We know he had lost his business and think he just may be the same chap as Henry Freeman [b 1836] in High Wycombe Bucks but cannot reconcile the places of birth as declared on the census Sorry you have had such a wasted effort-i had my hopes riding on this Stanley

Hi Constance, Would you be kind enough to have a look for a family in the 1871 census please? Looking for Zillah BAKER with her father William BAKER. Can't be exact on Zillah's age but would be under 10, probably about 7 or 8. They should be in Waterperry. Thank you Debbie

Hi Stanley I have trawled through the whole of Henley on Thames on the 1851 census and can find no trace of a Henry E Freeman. In fact no Freemans in Henley that could be his parents assuming he was born c1841. I also looked on the 1871 census in Surrey and could not find him. I really think I need a little more info as he could have been born in a village within the Henley registration area and as the 1851 census is not indexed it is a slog to keep eyeball searching. Hi Constance On the 1871 census i have Henry E Freeman [age 30] living in Walton on Thames shown as born in Henley Oxfordshire-do you think you could find him in any of the earlier census please-in 1871 his wife [nothing to do with oxfordshire] understated her age so he might have as well .The E i think stood for Edmund. Thankyou-Stanley

I've been searching for a Solomon Innis/Ennis/Annis for ages. He gives his place of birth as Burford when he's staying with his daughter in Gloucester in 1851. He was born c1778. I can't even find his death cert to see where he was then. Could you see if there are any of that family name in Burford which I believe is in Oxfordshire. His daughter was born Gloucester City but they are not together in 1841. Jan
