Hi Julie I am looking for a Charles Joseph Madell, born 1812 St Lukes London. He was a gilder and was present at his sons wedding in 1856. I can find no trace of him in the 1861 or 1881 census nor in BMD up to 1868. Would you see if you can find him in the London 1871 census or in your marriage or death entries. Many thanks Barbara |

Hi Julie It is me again, Pauline, looking for anything you might be able to find on Alice Parkinson's family. Well I received her marriage certificate this morning in the post, but it doesn't tell me what I thought it would. There is not address, only town or village. Skerton as residence at time of marriage. Father John Parkinson, Labourer. After just a quick look I can not match him with anything on 1881 on familysearch. So many "Johns". I hope the name and profession is more reliable than the grooms father. Both are wrong, compared with the information I have from other sources. I quite understand if you are unable to find anything for me based on what I've been abe to tell you. Pauline |
