Sorry Zoe, they aren't in Hackney. I also have some Shoreditch info from the 1851 census but no luck there either. I suggest you post a message on the EOLFHS message board. |

Hello Hilary, I have a Riggs family. Also a Baslow family. I can't confirm the spelling on that one yet. They both have Shoreditch down as their place of birth on census I already have. If you could have a look I'd be grateful. Cheers Diane |

1811 - RINGROSE, William of Castle Street - Labourer 1821 - RINGROSE, William of Henry Street - Labourer. Household was 3 males, 4 females . No other families in the same property. I also have 1831 on CD - RINGROSE, William of Henry Street, Kingsland. 10 people in household and he is still a labourer. I do hope that's the right family, despite the spelling! |

1831 Thomas Butler is in Grove Street, Hackney - a labourer living alone. 1851 There are 5 Butler Households in Shoreditch - Sub district Hoxton New Town, but it gives no details of any of them. Hope that's of some help. |
