Hi John English Origins contains mainly marriages (from Boyd's Marriage Index 1538 - 1840) and marriage licence info, wills, plus some apprentice stuff. Hope that helps Julie |

Hi All Just logged onto English Origins for the first time this week to do some lookups that were requested and unfortunately my credits have expired... sorry about that ... thought they didn't run out till February, must have noted the date down wrong. Hello, thanks for the offer - I am stuck looking for birth of Charles W BATEMAN. I have his marriage certificate 1888 stating he is 22 married in Deptford so this makes his birth year 1866 approx (father William Bateman) . I have him on 1891 census aged 24, born Deptford, living in Lee. I have him on 1901 census aged 35, born Deptford, living in Deptford. I can't find him in 1881 or on freeBMD (records don't cover deptford for this period). Thanks again, |

Hi Julie Re charles harris----- am unsure of the maiden name of ann ,but possibly ELEY,have also found out [this morning] that Charles was born in Hugglesgate leicestershire according to the the 1861 c. But liiving and stated as born in Horsley woodhouse on the 1881c . It is definatly the same person. Wife came from Horsley woodhouse so i think they would have married there Thanks Marion |
