Could have been a lodging house. I found Dick Turpin and Sweeny Todd both living at 4 North E Passage, Middx. in 1881. No where near as imaginative as Robert Goodman though. Brenda

Wow!!!!! That is pretty funny. He must of been 12 when he had his first kid.....to a 57 year old woman....yeah right. The enumerator must of been making it up..... good on him i say he obviously had a good sense of humour. :-) Dawn

Thanks Geoff, I have had a really awful day at work and just thought I'd log on to see what everyone was talking about tonight. That really couldn't have come at a better time. I wonder who decided to slip that one in - did international playboy's exist in 1881? Cleo

Irene Report 4 Dec 2003 19:11

This topic is so funny that it deserves to be a Christmas No. 1 !!!!! I have printed 16 Acacia Gardens on the 1881 to show the family! Geoff, how on earth did you come across this? Was it during your own research or did someone else tell you about it? Aileen

Yvette

Yvette Report 3 Dec 2003 23:55

This is funny, but must be false as it shows John Gordon as born in Pakistan.....which didnt exist until after the Indian Independance in 1947-8. Someone obviously felt we were in need of a laugh whilst wading through the 1881, and it has been much appreciated! Are there any more???? Yvette

Ho ho ho check the addresses either side, it does not appear to be a particularly posh area, and the either sides are not Acacia Gardens. It caused a big laugh at work today.

Must be somebody messing around on the LDS site - or one of the transcribers getting bored. Click on the File No. it is just a blank page. Gave me a laugh anyway. Kathleen
