Find Ancestors

Hi Margaret, Andrew Gulland aged 77 and his wife Margaret 77 definitely look like the parents of my late mother-in-law's family. Three of the Gulland daughters came out to New Zealand and married between 1863 and 1865. You have also found their other daughter Elizabeth and tracked down their son James in London. Don't know if the other Gullands you found are related but good to have as I might find they fit in somewhere. The Scottish census seems to have so much information on it, I really appreciate your help. Christine

Hi Margaret Debbie here!! Just wondered if you could do a check for me for Hugh Ferguson born in Perth 1871, parents David Ferguson and Mary Halliday. Interested to know if there are any other siblings or whether David and Mary deceased at this time as they were definitely deceased at the time of Hugh Ferguson's marraige to Janet Amber in 1892. Hi Debbie, There is no Hugh Ferguson listed anywhere in the uk born in Perth around that time. Do you have an address? Do you know his fathers occupation? I couldn't find Janet Amber in Scotland in 1881. Was she English? Regards Margaret

Hi Margaret All I have for Hugh is that he was born 3/8/1871 in Perth - father David's occupation listed as General Labourer. He married in Dalkeith in 1892. Will give IGI a look-up for Janet Amber. Many thanks. Debbie

Hi Could I trouble you for a look up on : My g grandfather Donald Andrew McKenzie b 1878 in Ula Scotland .His father is Peter and I know nothing about him at all 'cept he married Mary McFarlane. Margaret Thank you for the look up it's very much appreciated. I'd never heard of Ula either, but my Granny is adamant that thats were her father Donald McKenzie was born. She herself is from West Lothian which is were Donald is buried. Other than that I've no real info on them at all. The Donald you found can't be mine as his father is called Peter . All Granny can re call are names *sigh* Got a list of names as long as your arm lol. Would you mind looking up in West Lothian at all pls? Sorry to be a pain. Much Happiness Debi
