I am researching my Eva branch in my family tree. So far I have traced them back to 18th Century Helston and surrounding Parishes including St Martin in Meneage in Cornwall, England. I have the names of three Joshua Eva's and a Peter Eva Christened in Helston on 24 Aug. 1788. I don't know how long prior to this the Eva family had been in Cornwall, the furthest connection to my tree that I have been told of is a Jacob Eva c.1664. Also, two John Eva's after this. The online Parish clerk has told me that all the Eva men seem to have been stone masons. I would love to hear from others who know anything about the Eva's of Helston. Add to the Eva History board. |
