Peter's mother was unmarried when she had him. She must have later gone on to marry a Jackson.

You need to wait until the marriage cert arrives.

any chance that they both had 2 surnames that they had to declare maybe a change of name due to marrige, my mums is porter and mcginty married name jackson and my dad peter jackson , oh im lost.

yes hun i did thank you, but im sooo confused i dont understand why knee is coming up, it has never been mentiond and just lenghtens the mystery! im soo intrigued.

I think we have a genuine issue here... maybe a registration error...

2 x rosemary Mcginty's 1 marrying a knee 1 marrying a jackson
2 x rosemary porter's 1 marrying a knee 1 marrying a jackson
on the knee front there are 2 knees one marrying a Mcginty one marrying a porter

there is mcginty in my family my nan remarried henry mcginty, my mums maiden name on my birth cert is mcginty but her dad and mum were both porter, her dad is deffo porter her step dad mcginty. any help?

can someone please double check the image for me, because i have a Peter KNEE married to a PORTER and a Peter KNEE married to a McGINTY.

Am i missing something here because i cannot find a PETER JACKSON married sept quart 1975??

yep mine gives his army number which is trooper 24375312, place of birth,leeds west yorks , name peter surname jackson address, 56 charlton row, dedworth,windsor,berks and my mums details

Or were you born in Scotland?
