I have been reading the exchanges between stephenie and Derralyn. I am fasinated by the developments. And hope there will be further installments. It sounds very exciting. But i'm intrigued how you know so much information, Stephanie. And wondered if you would be able to help me with my search for our family name of, Andrews?

yes that is my she was married 5 times.
she married my sisiters dad around 1970 then my dad in 76 then went on with the other 3. she had divorced Malcolme hodd in 1996 but carried on with his name until her sudden death.
i have emailed some people whose names you gave lst night and have some leads this morning in the next town.

cannot find any other marriage entries from 1980-2000 so dont think he married again

found another marriage entry for a possible child of his though

i have sent for it, but already know that he was in nursing home, and when i phoned BDM office in lewes they asked me for my surname and couldnt tell me who signed it but could tell me it wasnt a family member.
the children he had before me he never saw, and dont know if he ever re married after mum

What about starting off getting your dad's death certificate, its usually signed by a family member

they split when i was 5 so probably got divorced around then too which would be 1980 ish.

i know he had 2 sons in the local area, so i somehow need to find a births register as he should have been registered as there dad.
he was registered as mine as far as i know.
this is so hard when parents have passed on and only getting snippets from other family members who arent too sure of facts.
all i have to go on is date of birth and death.
