I am trying to find the son my mother adopted out. All I know is that in 1978 he would have been about 34. She left army because she was pregnant, and returned to London from overseas. I have no idea where to go from here - would there be a birth cert for this child with her name on it, or would this have been changed after he was adopted? |

Replying to this thread as I am interested in children adopted in Lewisham and would love to know if you've found any more. In 1944 there weren't many organisations helping single mothers in Lewisham as the bombing had made Lewisham an unsafe place for mother and baby homes etc. |
