That looks good for starters Wells and Webster was a name peculiar to this family. I've never been able to get my head round the Wells part but Webster was the maiden name of Williamb1840's mother, Eliza Webster, and several children were given it

Hi Julia.Difficult one really.Like I said,probably the wrong person.The one I found was a Baker in 1901,Lowestoft wife Eleanor but born Suffolk?Also wrong birth year.

I have researched two people in the past and their place and year of birth hvae been different through the Census info.Tom

Hi Thomas - I think for my money, you are correct. Webster was a 'middle' name, peculiar to the Turner family. Also, Samuel's grandmother came from Colchester. So, not beyond the realms of possibility.I'm going to put a message out for descendants

What i would do is get intouch with the John on this site and see what he has worked out seeing as he has loads of the same names as you.

Many thanks Julie for all you've done for me. The John you suggest is a relation of mine, (his grandmother is the Nancy in the family,her eldest brother Ira being my great grandfather), and he has got less details than I have. Again, many,many thanks
