I am wondering if someone could help me find more information about Charles Hudson and his family.

What I have so far is

Charles Hudson born 1838/39
Cossington Leicester
His parents I think were James Hudson and Mary?
I think the next generation might go back to Ireland
He was married to Elizabeth Switzer.
I have 1881/1991 census details for him.

I would like possibly to find siblings, his parents and where next generation goes.

I have found Hudson a very common name.

Looks like his father might have remarried if his wife was Mary in 1841 census and Hannah in 1851. 1851 also shows younger siblings with a gap between the older ones?

Having a closer look, I think it might be more likely that the wife was listed incorrectly in 1851 census as the 1841 wife resurfaces in 1861. Also the son John is aged 18 in 1851 and 1861 census, so am picking that he is 28 in 1861.
I wonder where he was though in 1841 when he would have been 8yrs, visiting or living with relatives maybe? They don't make it easy for us do they?

I think I may need to print these out, may end up being two familes very similar.

EDIT just had a look at the images and John in 1861 is 18 on image, in 1851 it looks more like 10 not 18, so still discrepancy.

Just looked up IGI for Emily 1856.
Got her parents as James Hudson and Mary Hannah Coaton.

There was a a John Coton age 48 in one of the censuses so this could be a relation of the wife.

Plus it showed death for Emily in NZ which is where my line ( Charles Hudson) has ended up. So this looks promising!
