Samantha you say that you thought you'd cracked your missing Joan. From the pattern of the other siblings I'd guess her forename began with an L!

Hi Janice
This is all of them there was:
Lillian Joan
Lionel Jack
Leonard
Leslie
Lawrence & Lewis the twins
Lydia Joyce (my nan)
Jeff
The twins were killed by a bomb in Wraysbury in 1942 when they were 13yrs i have been there this week to view records nothing there but have been asked by the village to write an article about it as there are so many people still in the village that remember them and as they have no info, so im thinking about it.

Hi Samantha
That is good, I did wonder about that.
There are further children born to HATCHER/HAMMOND including a set of twins they are born in HENDON?
Also one born in HARTLEY W
Could they be your family too?
If so will send them for you
Let me know.

Here is the reference to order Lilian J Hatcher certificate if you wish to verify.

Samantha

There is this birth.

Lionel J Hatcher Registered STAINES September Quarter 1919.
Mother Maiden Name HAMMOND.
REF: 3a 22

If Alice regisered this baby under HATCHER & gave her Maiden Name as Hammond then why not all subsequent children?

I have checked 1918 for all names and not got Joan?

Maybe she comes later?
