Hi, I am trying to order a birth certficate for my GF's sister. The application wants a full birth date. I have the year and area etc, just not the day and month. How do people get this info to apply for the certificates? |

You need the full GRO Index (which includes name, year, quarter, district, volume number and page number). |

You don't need the exact date for certificates from 1904, just make sure you tick YES in the box that asks if the GRO ref is known. |

The application includes the question...'Are GRO refs known?' |

I didn't know that. I thought It was a proper refernce not the volume/page. I'll try again. |
