James was born about1767 and died in 1843. Ann about 1767 and died1848. There year of births are from there gravestones. I am afraid this is a name that gets mistranscribed quite often.

have his marriage certificate manchester 1873 (of age) his father's name listed as richard

would dearly love to find his birth certificate and hopefully move further back - but cannot seem to find him and london is so vague...

any help advice appreciated

As he was born after 1901 it would be quite hard to find the names of his parents. Your best bet is to get a birth or marriage certificate.
