Would imagine so, I ordered my grandparents wedding certificate, they married in India and their marriage was recorded on an Army return. I got the info from findmypast and ordered using the reference that they provided.

Hope it helps.

Hi Nicki.I'm looking for children of Joseph and Jane Plimmer.Joseph 1814,Sarah ,1816 William 1824,George 1830 and Thomas 1833.Father Joseph b1791 was apparently a soldier in the Coldstream guards based, I think, in Woolwich.By 1836 he is in Wolverhampton working as a police officer.Have just recieved a copy of an extract from Staffs Police register which states he had 10 children.I 've got three unaccounted for! Hope this helps. Thanks a lot Nicki ,Linda
