My grandfather Edward Henry Luff was in the Royal Army Service Corps (Military Transport Division) in World War 1 and died at sea in December 1918 when he was returning to the UK. He was buried in Durban South Africa. I would like to know the circumstances of his death, what troop ship he was on when he died, what he had been involved in during in the war etc etc. I have his Army Service Number but most of the WW1 Army records were destroyed in the Blitz and all I have been able to trace is his WW1 Medal Card which is virtually blank. Can anyone give me any leads please. Many thanks |
