Hi Veronica

Have you tried the Regimental Museum, they do not hold Service Records but may know more about what might have happened?

My grandfather Edward Henry Luff was in the Royal Army Service Corps (Military Transport Division) in World War 1 and died at sea in December 1918 when he was returning to the UK. He was buried in Durban South Africa. I would like to know the circumstances of his death, what troop ship he was on when he died, what he had been involved in during in the war etc etc. I have his Army Service Number but most of the WW1 Army records were destroyed in the Blitz and all I have been able to trace is his WW1 Medal Card which is virtually blank. Can anyone give me any leads please. Many thanks
