according to the 1841 census in Salford there is a William CLARK ajge 30 occ dyer, Maria 25, Elizabeth 4 and Mary 9 months. On the next line is Mary SHAW age 50 and twins Robert and Eleanor 15 plus Thomas 10. |

.....also, if you look on the IGI for christenings were parents were William and Maria Clark quite a few come up in the Salford/Manchester area including one called Eleanor (after Maria's sister?) |
