It is the first time this possible member of the family has appeared but I do not have a subscription.

Thank you all for all this information, you are all amazing. This has really puzzled me as I had thought that Minnie had died before 1901 so I will have to go back to the drawing board and find the relationship for Minnie to the Abram (Clayton) family.

Glitter baby, thanks for this. I do know that Dinah remarried when she was widowed from Albert Sandvig, I am just puzzled who this Minnie J C is as my rellies keep referring to Dinah as Minnie and there is a child Minnie in the 1881 census under the name Sandoy in London with my great x2 grandfather.

I have two daughters of his a Dinah Rodine M Sandvig and a Alberta Elizabeth G Sandvig both born the June quarter of 1881 but Alberta supposedly died in Jun 1887 in Sculcoates (registered as Laudvig !!). Now if the Maud in your list is Dinah then who is Minnie JC aged 11 - could she be one of these two. I am waiting for the certs for these two but I just came across Minnie and was intrigued.
Perhaps I am missing something but thank you for all your help and I am sorry to bore you with the above details

Yes just had a look at the 1881 and it does say daughter to Albert and Minnie doesn't it?

Yes thanks, I have his cert and believe it or not was able to find 3 generations in Norway from info on his marriage cert but the English end of the story is a little more complicated.

You have my sympathy, I too suffer the dreaded hot flushes and insomnia.

The Johanne in the name is interesting as Albert Olaus Sandvig's mother was called Johanne !

I will be counting the pennies for the cert asap

It is really great to know there are others out there who are awake at the same time.
