	I think I am going to suggest that Shirley gets the marriage certificate to find out who is Chalres wife, we may be barking up the wrong tree with Dorothy! 	There's loads of Joyces being born and registered in Dunmow, the registration centre ........... they're just not on the censuses! sylvia

Note: the directory lists the names in the following order: Surname, First Name. It also abbreviates names. These have been reversed and typed in full to assist research. 	so there's Joyces, just not Shirley's Joyces! I wonder if they were transported to Oz ........ I know some were sent out there for a term and could return at the end. But the whole family?????????? It's strange to have them missing for so many censuses. sylvia
