Army records anyone any good at tracing them?

My Dad's Uncle Benjamin (parkin)? Goddard was killed in the WW1 but not sure where. I have never found any records of him so I wonder if my Dad as again been misinformed. |

His mothers maiden names was parkin and she came from chapletown in sheffield, his Dad was Charles Benjamin Goddard or could have been Benjamin Charles Goddard |

Benjamin was reported to have died aged 22 his oldest brother Joseph was born in 1899 and Benjamin was the youngest of 7. So if his mum had 1 child a year I am estimating his date of birth as 1906. |

His parents were definately from the sheffield area and my dad is positive it is chapletown, sheffield |

this is why I cannot find him because I am sure my dad as got it wrong, I am sure Benjamin is not the youngest but I cannot find his birth record |

My dads father is Joseph Parkin Goddard I can only find him registered as Joseph Parkin in Chapletown Sheffield in 1899 in births |
