Right
Let's start from another angle....
When was your Dad's father born... and where?
Do you know his parents?

Gwyn

Born abt 1906 he would only have been 12 when World War 1 ended.

...Something doesn't add up here.

His parents were definately from the sheffield area and my dad is positive it is chapletown, sheffield

Jacqueline

Jacqueline Report 1 Dec 2007 16:35

Benjamin was reported to have died aged 22 his oldest brother Joseph was born in 1899 and Benjamin was the youngest of 7. So if his mum had 1 child a year I am estimating his date of birth as 1906.
