I bought some credits and have been using them to scour the martriage records looking for Fretwell marriages. I found one that appears to be my grandparents however it has the marriage as being between Marion Fretwell and Heaton in Hexham in 1935. My grandfather didn't beome a Heaton until a name change during the war. |

I've cross-checked the marriage ref and Marion Fretwell married James W Heaton. Is this your grandfather? |

James W Robson (Heaton) was my grandfather yes. But he had to change his name during the war (well this is what my dad was told). |
