I have a birth cert for my g aunt the problem i have is that i can't tell what her mother's maiden name is. i think it looks like Beugabe or Bengabe would some kind person take a look for me and tell me what you think. many thanks val

	This is the only likely marriage I can see for a Robert Cown to a Jane: Marriages Mar 1857 COWINGS Robert Newcastle Tyne 10b 45 Hedley Jane Newcastle Tyne 10b 45 Could be Jane had been married before though. Rose

	Val, I think you might be better off ordering another of the children's birth certs to double check. That marriage cert. could be a waste of money. Rose

Member Since: May 2007 Posts: 943 Send Message	Hi Rose, Thanks for the advice the birth cert for William Cowens Dec 1864 i ordered that one with Jane's and the mothers mmn is Pringle.Father's name Robert & mother's name Jane I have ordered 3 birth cert's for William around the time he was born and 2 have had the wrong parents so i dont know where to go from here unless i order one for the other boys. what do you think Val

	Val, There are no other Robert Cown married to a Jane in that area so perhaps the birth cert for William is correct. I can't read the surname on the cert you emailed but I don't think the first letter is B. Rose
