I'm really struggling to find out the date of my great grandfather's death - and i really want a copy of his death certificate. His name was William Thomas Guyler - born 1869 in Basford Nottingham (or derbyshire as registered then). He lived his whole life on Gawthorne street, New Basford Nottingham. Married Mary Elsey in 1911. Either Mary or William died in Mapperely asylum but the family aren't sure which one of them. |

When you say 'Ancestry'.........presumably you mean the free records, which are only copies of the freebmd site.......... |

Advance search on all death records but to no avail. Looked for him under both derbyshire and nottinghamshire as county. I know he was alive upto 1914 ( my grandfather was born then and he had memories of him so must have lived a fair few years after that.) |

I have been using Ancestry BMD to work my way forward from 1901 on many lines and it can become a chore. |
