Have hit a brick wall with my grandfather Samuel Morton Leake born Lunesdale, Lancashire 1881, Married May Fox Jul/Aug/Sept quarter 1906. May Fox (Leake) died in March 1915 when my father was only three years old. Unfortunately do not know where Samual was born, but do know he lived in Preston Lancashire in the early 1950's. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. |

I can't find him on any census. You really need to get his marriage cert or his birth certificate to find his parents names and make the search easier. |

If you order his birth or marriage cert from the GRO, they will still only cost you £7 each, there is no extra charge to get them send overseas. |

I know that my Dad was brought up by his Grandmother so it is quite possible that dear old Samuel flew the Coop after his wife died. Bit rough though, he had five kids. |
