And Hilda can't be Connie's sister if her surname is Oxborough.

Think I need a drink.

I have found Jack Leonard Oxborough, mmn Talbot, Northampton, 2Q 1932. 3b 53

WayneTracey

WayneTracey Report 22 Dec 2007 03:42

Rose i think Hilda is Leonard& Connie's daughter....hence his Aunt... his dads sister not as Julian suggests...

Julian have you attempted to find data yourself which is where most of your info is coming from??

You really need to get yourself some certs to confirm what you have before you go any further really....

Your data is very muddled and a little confused, and it seems to me you have inaccurately found data yourself, which is pefectly fine... but i think you have confused yourself a little along the way and now your confusing us!

Please go and order the marriage certs we have found and any births/deaths that seems along the right lines.... only then can you move foward with this one accurately...

Good luck

Wayne

Constance Talbot married Leonard Oxborough, Northampton, 4Q 1931, 3b 169

Julian i think this is likely to be your Grandmother....

I would also suggest she was the second Constance born and the first was this one... who tragically died aged 1

Sorry Wayne and Rose.

Hilda was my great aunt.Connie was her sister and i do apologize because i had presumed Hilda surname would have been Oxborough.

I have also come accoss a old black and white picture of a victorian lady and my dad has put on the back Grandma Oxborough and the name Emma Eggleton.

WayneTracey

WayneTracey Report 22 Dec 2007 04:15

Hilda would have been a Talbot then?

Ok so you want data on Hilda Talbot... and Emma Eggleton?

WayneTracey

WayneTracey Report 22 Dec 2007 04:23

seeing as Hilda was Constance's sister and i have found both born in Northampton to a mother with the maiden name of Lowe.... it'll be a pretty big shock to discover their mother maiden name was anything other than Lowe?

Unless she had a previous marriage... but with the timescale involved i doubt it !

Julian

Julian Report 22 Dec 2007 04:25

Thanks Wayne got my aunt out of the now.Found a photo with Constance Oxborough and a address as 266 High St WALTHAM CROSS 1948.It was my sister's dad who said connie disliked the name Constance.

WayneTracey

WayneTracey Report 22 Dec 2007 04:28

Does the picture have one person?

As Leonard's mother's maiden name was Eggleton and she married an Oxborough, that would make her Grandma Oxborough... I would suggest Emma Eggleton is Leonard's mother?

WayneTracey

WayneTracey Report 22 Dec 2007 04:29

... this is probably their marriage...

It is only her in the back garden.Found a picture of my dad with his dad taken when on leave from the navy on the back is the address 266 High St WALTHAM CROSS.

WayneTracey

WayneTracey Report 22 Dec 2007 04:37

Then i would suggest Grandma Oxborough is indeed Emma Salter Eggleton....

The chances are her own mothers surname was Salter...

WayneTracey

WayneTracey Report 22 Dec 2007 04:46

Maybe Emma with her parents.... seems they had a pub?
